The Maritime Emissions Challenge
International shipping accounts for approximately 2.5% of global greenhouse gas emissions — a figure set to grow as global trade expands. The International Maritime Organization's 2050 strategy targets a 50% absolute reduction in GHG emissions from 2008 levels, with net-zero ambitions by 2050.
